Parent, Guardian or Alumni Process
Nominations for new Board members must be received from present Board members two weeks in advance of any Board meeting. These nominations shall be distributed to Board members with the regular Board meeting materials. After proper vetting by the Board, not to exceed two (2) months, the nominee(s) will be voted upon no later than the next regularly scheduled Board meeting.
Qualifications for Board Membership:
To fill the seat designated for a parent, guardian, grandparent, alumni or community member, the nominee should possess two or more of the following qualifications:

Served in leadership positions in the greater New Orleans community.

Volunteered in various civic, cultural, and/or educational endeavors.
-
Successful in his/her career or vocation.
-
Commitment to public education.
-
Ample time to serve on Board of Trustees.
-
High integrity and values.
-
Specific skills, such as, accounting, financial, legal and/or education skills.

Committed to the mission of the school and shares the educational philosophy upon which The Arthur School is founded.
-
Be a Parent guardian, grandparent or alumnus of The Arthur School.
