Our Mission

To prepare our students to utilize their intelligence for the benefit of the communities in which they live.

Our Vision

The Delores Taylor Arthur School for Young Men envisions a world where all young men have an opportunity to contribute to the communities in which they live regardless of race, ethnic origin, socio-economic position, or exceptionality. We prepare students for success by increasing college readiness, career readiness, and 21st Century learning skills of communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.

Long Term Goals

10 years after graduation, our graduates will move purposefully toward positively impacting the communities in which they live through leadership, service, and economic and intellectual contribution. In more concrete terms, within 10 years of graduation from the Delores Taylor Arthur School, our students will:

  • Complete a bachelor’s degree, graduate from a professional school, or earn an advanced academic degree;

  • Display the skills to be hired and keep a job;

  • Be leaders in whatever forum they are in.
