AIRMEN COMMUNICATION 5/30/22

Arthur School Family,

We've made it to the end of our inaugural year! And what an incredible ride it has been. Here's what you need to know as this school year comes to a close:

CONVOCATION - Tomorrow morning at 8 AM we will be holding our Spring Convocation and Q4 Academic Award Ceremony. We will be celebrating our students' final achievements from this quarter and this year. Family members are encouraged to attend! As we celebrate our young men, we also celebrate you. Thank you for all of your hard work this school year in supporting your son's education. We couldn't do it without you.

We also ask that students arrive in full uniform for this event - as it will be our last photo opportunity of the year. If students wish to change into their Arthur School polos after the ceremony, they may.

END OF YEAR CELEBRATION - Following Spring Convocation, we will be hosting games, activities, and laser tag for our Airmen! Cookies, chips, and pizza will also be provided. This event has been earned by the actions of our students who have shown that their conduct is up to The Airmen Standard. There will be students who are not invited to attend this event based on their inability to put their best foot forward. If parents wish to pick up their sons following Convocation, they may. If your son is not eligible to attend the End of Year Celebration, you will get an email from me today. If you recieve no further communication, your son is invited to join in on the festivities!

WE WILL DISMISS ALL STUDENTS AT 2 PM TOMORROW - Please make arrangements accordingly.

REPORT CARDS + LEAP SCORES - Be on the lookout over this week for your son's report card. We will be mailing out report cards and leap scores together. For those families whose son has not passed the LEAP in one or both categories (English/Algebra,) you should have been notified by Ms. Marie Roth from student services or Ms. Earline Osborne, our school counselor. LEAP Remediation will begin June 1st from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

A Final Message - Once again, thank you all so much for the privilege to educate your young men. This year though, historic, has not been without challenges. We've been through so much together and this is still just the beginning of your son's Arthur School Journey. From hurricanes to COVID, we've been able to continue the course and it is all because of the love we have for your young men. The same love that our namesake, Mrs. Delores Taylor Arthur gave to each and every one of her students. We are so pleased to continue that journey. For those families that will be continuing with us, there is so much to look forward to. We could not be more excited to welcome you back in the fall to an even more robust, rigorous, and personalized institution. Please know that the best is yet to come!

For those families that are still in search of a school that will be the best possible fit for their son, we hope that you find a place that your young man can excel in. If you ever need guidance or additional resources don't hesitate to reach out. It's been a pleasure getting to know your son and we wish the best for all young men who have worn The Arthur School uniform.

We couldn't be more excited for all of the exciting changes next year will bring. Until next time, the last bit of info that I can share is that our 9th and 10th grade orientation will take place July 26th and the first day of the 22-23 school year commences on Tuesday, August 2nd.

Till then stay safe, fly high, and have a fantastic summer. We'll see you soon.
